Amber Heard told police she had had a "simple verbal argument" with her husband when they were called to her home.
The officers are being interviewed by their superiors as part of the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation into the 30-year-old actress’ claims that the ‘Black Mass’ star allegedly threw an iPhone at her face, and they have insisted they had no idea they were being summoned to the home of the celebrity couple, according to TMZ.
What’s more, the cops are "adamant" Amber had "no visible injuries" when they saw her at the house, though she refused to let them in.
When they arrived at the residence, Amber opened the door "just a crack" and refused to let them in.
They continued to question the ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star at the doorway and and claim Amber said the disturbance was a "simple verbal argument" with her husband, who she did not reveal to be the Hollywood actor.
In their statement, the officers told how they responded to a 911 call which came in under the name "Heard" and they didn’t make the connection between the star and her famous husband.
Though the ‘Magic Mike XXL’ never planned to speak out about the domestic abuse to "protect her privacy and Johnny’s career", her lawyers say Johnny’s team has "forced" her into making a statement by the way they have acted and police are now looking into it.
Amber filed for divorce from Johnny, 52, last week and was granted a temporary restraining order against him after making the claims he assaulted her.
Her lawyers have now alleged the actress suffered "years of abuse" at the hands of the actor.
Samantha F. Spector and co-counsel Joseph P. Koenig said: "As the result of Amber’s decision to decline giving an initial statement to the LAPD, her silence has been used against her by Johnny’s team. Amber did not provide a statement to the LAPD in an attempt to protect her privacy and Johnny’s career."
