Amber Heard reportedly married her former love Tasya Van Ree in secret eight years ago.
The 30-year-old star, who has filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, is said to have entered into a legally binding domestic partnership with Tasya in March 2008 and changed her name to Amber Van Ree.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, there are official documents showing that Amber changed her surname because of a "domestic partnership".
This comes shortly after Amber’s pals rubbished the suggestion she was "hated" by Johnny’s family.
It has been claimed that the blonde beauty was unpopular among her estranged husband’s family, but friends have revealed Amber was extremely supportive of Johnny’s mother Betty Sue Palmer before she died of a long-standing illness.
A source close to the actress said: "Amber was by Betty Sue’s side during this illness and regularly visited her in the hospital.
"She had been gravely ill for the last few years but they made sure she was well taken care of and had the best treatment. Johnny was very close to his mom."
Meanwhile, Amber has alleged that her estranged husband was verbally and physically abusive towards her during their marriage.
She said in court documents: "During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me.
"I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him."
Johnny has denied the abuse accusations levelled against him by his wife.
