Amber Davies wants to take over from Michelle Keegan in ‘Our Girl’.
The ‘Love Island’ star – who won the show with her boyfriend Kem Cetinay after they fell in love in the villa over the summer – trained for years as an actress, singer and dancer and has admitted she’d love nothing more than to bag the main role in the army drama.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I’m a trained actress and hopefully I can get back into it because it’s what I love. I’d love a part like Michelle Keegan’s in ‘Our Girl’. I know it wouldn’t be straight to that but you’ve just got to keep working hard."
And there’s a possibility that the 21-year-old beauty could take over from Michelle as the ‘Coronation Street’ previously took on the role after Lacey Turner’s departure.
However, for now, Amber is focusing on supporting her boyfriend Kem on ‘Dancing on Ice’, which kicks off at the beginning of next year, after he joined the line-up last month.
She explained to the publication: "I’ve been to one [of Kem’s rehearsals] and I will continue to go to more, especially as it gets closer to the live shows. I’ll be there at every live show and just try and help him as much as I can."
And the couple – who have only been together a few months – aren’t worried about being struck by the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’-style curse on the show.
Kem said: "Amber is a dancer and she knows there’s no curse. We’re comfortable in our relationship. We’re going there to ice skate and do my job and Amber’s going to be with me the whole way."
Amber added: "I’ve been in rehearsal rooms my entire life. I know that it doesn’t just happen like that. You can’t go off when you’re in a relationship."
