Allison Janney wants Oscar win for family

Allison Janney wants to win an Oscar so she doesn’t disappoint her family.
The ‘I Tonya’ star has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in the Tonya Harding biopic and admitted that the main reason she wants to win a gong is so that her family will be happy.
She told MailOnline: "I’m very nervous and I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself. I don’t want to disappoint my friends or family.
"It’s almost as if you want to win for them rather than yourself because it means so much to them – and me too!"
Although Allison, 58, was successful at the Golden Globes, SAGs and Critics Choice Award already this year, she admitted to constant worries that she will lose out at an awards ceremony.
She explained: "Every time I win something, I’m sure I’m going to lose the next one.
Allison plays LaVona Golden, the mother of figure skater Tonya Harding, in the movie and will be competing with Laurie Metcalf, Lesley Manville, Octavia Spencer and Mary J. Blige at the Oscars ceremony.
And Allison recently revealed that after she met Tonya for the first time, she felt the need to say sorry for how well she had depicted her mother in the movie.
She said: "I only met her at the premiere in LA. I was very nervous to meet her but excited too as I grew up a figure skater and I grew up watching all that whole incident that unfurled on television.
"She was lovely. Unfortunately she said I nailed her mother. ‘That was my mother’. I felt happy that she gave me her seal of approval but also so sorry she had such a difficult time. It was heartbreaking. I gave her a hug and said sorry she had gone through that."
