Alicia Keys returns with her first new music in four years

Alicia Keys has returned with a new single.
The 35-year-old singer/songwriter has unveiled her song ‘In Common’, a summery Latin-inspired jam which she says deals with the "issues and challenges" that all people go through.
She said: "We all have our issues, our challenges. We are all kind of messed up and that’s all right. In fact, that’s what helps us understand each other. To me, that’s is what is so beautiful."
‘In Common’ – her first new music in four years – was written by Keys, Illangelo, Tayla Parks and Billy Walsh.
Illangelo – the longtime Grammy Award-winning collaborator of The Weeknd – also produced the track, which is available across all digital platforms now.
Keys’ song precedes her upcoming sixth studio album, which is due for release this summer and is said to reflect her New York City roots and love of hip hop culture.
Keys – who has sons Egypt Daoud, five, and one-year-old Genesis Ali with her husband Swizz Beatz – recently appeared on an Italian TV show to perform two songs from the album.
She sang ‘In Common’ and ‘Hallelujah’ makeup free to highlight the #NoMakeUp movement that the star started.
Discussing the motivation behind the campaign, she previously said: "You are allowed to say no. As women, we get into this wild habit where we feel we have to please everybody and make sure everyone feels so good, but we never look at ourselves and ask if we’re OK. I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."
