Alexander Skarsgard is comfortable with nudity.
The 39-year-old Swedish actor has revealed that he had no problem donning a mere loincloth for his latest film ‘Tarzan’ as he’s not a prude and he loves being naked.
Alexander told The Sun newspaper: "I’m not a prude. I’m from Sweden and it’s different there. If it makes sense, I’ll do nudity. And I love to be naked. It’s kind of liberating."
Being naked can’t be that difficult for the ripped ‘True Blood’ star, who in addition to his 6ft 4in frame, beefed up for the role by lifting weights and gaining 11lb.
It’s also unlikely that Alexander has confidence issues when it comes to his appearance, having been voted Sweden’s Sexiest Man five times.
The actor joked that "every single day I walk up to that mirror and think, ‘Five times mother****er, five times.’"
It seems Alexander may have inherited his body-confidence from his father, the 65-year-old Stellen Skarsgard, who appeared naked in Lars Von Triers’s controversial 2013 film ‘Nymphomaniac’.
Stellen once revealed: "I was born naked and I walk around naked at home. I have a very relaxed relationship with my genitals."
Alexander admitted his dad was delighted when his son was cast in the iconic role of Tarzan.
He said: "My dad’s a massive fan of Tarzan. He was more excited than I was when I got this role."
