Alec Baldwin is moving to Los Angeles.
The 57-year-old actor and his 32-year-old wife Hilaria – with whom he has children Carmen, two, and Rafael, 10 months – are relocating from their home in New York to California because of commitments this month and to get more privacy, according to the New York Post newspaper.
Speaking previously to the Gothamist online about the pending move, the ‘Knots Landing’ star – who also has daughter Ireland, 20, with ex-wife Kim Basinger – admitted he doesn’t like having his children exposed to paparazzi so regularly in New York, though he finds Los Angeles life too "gated".
He said: "New York is just … I go out the door of my house, every day there’s all these photographers here. We have a little baby, you think I want my kid raised like that?
"My ex wife raised my other daughter in Los Angeles. What does Los Angeles mean, what does it signify? It means gated living. You pull up to a gate you go behind a wall and you’re done with it. You get out of valet parking you go into a restaurant you’re on private property. Your feet never touch public land!"
Meanwhile, the couple – who married in 2012 – recently announced they are expecting their third child together, although Alec has a daughter.
Taking to Instagram about her pregnancy, Hilaria announced: "Ireland, Carmen, Rafael, Alec, and I are excited to share with you that we are going to have another addition to our family. A little boy coming this fall #366daysoflivingclearly #HilariaLCM (sic)"
