Alan Carr’s Hollyoaks pooch poo relief

Alan Carr is "relieved" his pooch didn’t poo on the ‘Hollyoaks’ set when he was filming his cameo.
The ‘Chatty Man’ host will appear on the Channel 4 soap tonight (10.05.18) alongside his two Irish Setter dogs Bev and Joyce as part of filming his ‘Crufts Extra’ chat show – which he co-hosts with Clare Balding – and he is glad neither of his dogs dared to dump while the cameras were rolling.
He said: "Bev had a fur ball so she was like [choking noises].
"I’m just relieved she didn’t do a poo."
Alan had a great time shooting the scene, which sees him walking his two canines in the village when he stops to try to nosy in on a dispute Yazz Maalik (Haiesha Mistry) is having with Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) – and he joked the part could land him a BAFTA.
He said: "I’ve had a great time. I can’t wait for everyone to see my cameo.
"It’s very good – it’s got BAFTA written all over it … maybe not."
Alan took pictures and chatted to the stars of the show backstage, during which Ashley Taylor-Dawson – who plays Darren Osborne – jokingly asked the TV presenter if he had "milked" his performance.
Speaking in a video on the ‘Hollyoaks’ YouTube page, Alan replied: "Oh yeah. How much ham do you want?"
Alan’s cameo was revealed in February after was pictured on the ‘Hollyoaks’ Instagram page wearing a wig and sporting a fake moustache while standing alongside Amanda Clapham (Holly Cunningham), Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay) and Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella).
A source told BANG Showbiz: "Alan has been shooting a paw-fect cameo on ‘Hollyoaks’, and fans will get the chance to see him strut his stuff in the famous village later this year.
"His dogs, Joyce and Bev, will also appear in his episode."
Speaking on the Channel 4 soap’s Instagram Stories, he said: "Hello, I’m Alan Carr and I’m here on the set of ‘Hollyoaks’ with my dogs Joyce and Bev."
