Alan Carr says Paul O’Grady will be a guest judge on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
The ‘Chatty Man’ presenter – who will be a rotating resident judge on the show alongside talk show host Graham Norton – appeared to let slip with the news during a radio appearance, and he admitted none of the stars had told each other they were going to appear.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on the BBC Radio 2 ‘Breakfast Show’, he said: "I found out that Paul O’Grady’s a judge on it, and so is Graham Norton.
"But isn’t it funny – no-one said a word [to each other]. We’re all going, ‘Oh yes, did you hear they’re looking for judges on UK Drag Race?’ ‘Hmmm yes, I heard that.’ No-one said a word. All keeping it secret!"
However, he quickly took to social media and added he found out about Paul’s potential role on Twitter, before saying he hoped he hadn’t accidentally revealed the news too early.
He tweeted: "I saw it on Twitter!! (I know) Hope he’s doing it!! Oh God!! Have I put my foot in it?!!"
Paul started his career as drag queen Lily Savage, before going onto present mainstream shows like ‘Blankety Blank’, ‘For The Love of Dogs’ and his own daytime chat show.
Alan’s comments came after he and Graham were confirmed as resident judges for the BBC Three series.
He said: "Wow! To be sat next to Michelle Visage and Mama Ru as a guest judge on possibly one of my all-time favourite shows EVER is a dream come true. I can’t wait to see what the UK queens have got in store – it’s going to be sickening!"
