Aidan Turner happy to strip off for new Poldark series

Aidan Turner was happy to strip off again for the new series of ‘Poldark’.
The 34-year-old actor set pulses racing with his shirtless appearance during the first series of the BBC drama series and despite the subsequent debate over whether he was being objectified, Aidan had no qualms with baring his chest again for the new season.
Asked if he has any issues with the talk surrounding his good looks, Aidan insisted: "I don’t at all. Go for it."
In the upcoming series, the former ‘Being Human’ star’s character emerges from the sea wearing just his breeches.
But the hunky star has admitted the sexy scene wasn’t quite as glamorous as many viewers might like to believe.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was pretty cold. It was September and it wasn’t pleasant."
Aidan also revealed he’s been hitting the gym over recent months in order to maintain his enviable physique.
The Irish actor – who originally raised eyebrows when he was filmed shirtless while using a scythe – explained: "I have to keep relatively fit just to fit into the costumes."
Karen Thrussell, the executive producer of ‘Poldark’, has rubbished the suggestion that Aidan has been objectified in the latest series.
In fact, she explained that the latest steamy scene is more toned down than the ‘Poldark’ novels by novelist Winston Graham.
Karen said: "In the novels he swims quite a lot and doesn’t wear anything. We’ve been very truthful to the books and been quite modest."
