Adele Roberts gets boot from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Adele Roberts has become the first contestant to leave ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 40-year-old radio DJ was given the boot from the creepy-crawly camp on Friday (29.11.19) night – just under two weeks after she first entered the jungle – after she failed to gain enough votes from the public to keep her in the competition for another day.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her exit, Adele said: "I’m just amazed that I lasted that long. I’m just so glad that I finished my time in the jungle and I didn’t say: "I’m a celebrity… get me out of here." I could’ve said it many times but I didn’t."
And the former ‘Big Brother’ star – who took part in many tummy-churning challenges – is happy that her time in the jungle has cured her fear of spiders and made her a "stronger person".
Asked if she’s become stronger following her stint on the show, Adele said: "Without a doubt. I feel like I’m stronger than I realise and there are so many things that I can do, it’s just the way that you view things. And things like seeing a spider in a bath won’t bother me anymore."
Adele initially thought she had won immunity when she took part in a challenge that saw her beat Caitlyn Jenner in a drinking task, but she landed in dangerous waters a few hours later when she failed to beat the boys James Haskell, Ian Wright and Myles Stephenson in a blood bath.
The foursome, plus Kate Garraway and Roman Kemp, had to fill up a glass test tube with bloody water from the bath they were sat in, which was filled with fish guts, and the three who reached the line the fastest would win immunity from the first public vote.
Now that she’s out of the competition, Adele is hoping her best friend Nadine Coyle – who she met before they both became famous – goes on to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Asked who she wants to win, Adele said: "Happy for anyone to win it but Nadine, she’s my girl."
