Adam Woodyatt has shot a special ‘EastEnders’ skit for ‘The Big Night In’.
While filming is currently paused on the BBC One soap due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 51-year-old actor has shot new scenes as his character Ian Beale for the special charity show.
Part of the programme – which will raise money for Comic Relief and Children in Need – will see Ian host a pub quiz via video link.
‘The Big Night In’ will also feature Catherine Tate bringing back one of her comedy characters, schoolgirl Lauren Cooper, and Jack Whitehall is to put on a ‘Bad Education’ sketch, among many other surprises for viewers.
‘EastEnders’ have reduced transmission from four to two episodes a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, following the coronavirus lockdown.
And Jake Wood (Max Branning) recently said the soap only has enough episodes to stay on screen until June.
He said: "Beyond that, I really don’t know what’s going to happen."
Jake has been spending his time off work at home with his family, wife Alison and their two children Buster and Amber, and he has indulged in some jet washing.
He said: "I’ve been jet washing. I was doing it for three days, man.
"I had my headphones on and I was banging out this crazy dance music.
"I couldn’t hear anything, I just had this mental music in my head. I did that for three days, I think I was just freaking out I think it was just my way of coping."
