Abbey Clancy’s pregnancy caused hair loss

Abbey Clancy’s third pregnancy caused her to experience "petrifying" hair loss.
The 32-year-old model has revealed that whilst she was pregnant with her nine-month-old son Johnny – whom she has with husband Peter Crouch, with whom she also has Sophia, seven, and Liberty, three – "clumps of hair" would fall out due to a hormone imbalance, and she was forced to take supplements and change her diet to help her locks grow back.
In an exclusive interview with BANG Showbiz, she said:
"During pregnancy and after pregnancy, I lost a hell of a lot of hair and it was petrifying and my whole clumps of hair would be in my hand.
"So I was just taking a lot of supplements, my hairdresser told me to take Viviscal so I was taking that and I was doing treatments on my hair. Also trying to eat a lot of fish oils in my diet.
"It is a part of a hormonal thing that happens when you’re hormonal or post pregnancy and it is coming back like I’ve got little tufts everywhere so we’re getting there."
The ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’ star advised any women experiencing hair loss to keep calm and keep healthy.
She said: "I think try not to worry about it because it makes it worse and it’s one more thing you don’t need to worry about.
"Take some good vitamins some good hair vitamins try and eat a lot of fish a lot of oily stuff that’s what I did."
Abbey has recently created her first fashion line for Lipsy and admitted that she loved creating the range as well as modelling her new collection.
She said: "I really love the creative side and Lipsy have got a fantastic team that are really open for idea’s and they were keen to get my personal style across in the collection…I know I’m really proud of it."
