ABBA stars to host X Factor masterclass

ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have confirmed they will host a masterclass for ‘The X Factor’ contestants.
The 71-year-old and 73-year-old stars will help out the six remaining semi-finalist acts this coming week and watch them perform ABBA songs from this year’s smash hit film ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’.
Benny said: "I am very happy to be hosting a masterclass and hear the last six contestants perform our songs.
"I am thrilled ‘The X Factor’ is celebrating the ‘Mamma Mia!’ film soundtracks."
Björn added: "I am looking forward to being at ‘The X Factor’ studio on Saturday night and see how the contestants put their own spin on our songs just as Cher, Meryl Streep, Lily James and the rest of the cast did in the movies."
The wannabe singers will perform some of ABBA’s greatest hits in a bid to earn a place in the ‘The X Factor’ final.
Show boss and judge Simon Cowell shocked the programme’s fans yesterday (18.11.18) when he announced he was changing the rules after his act Shan Ako was sent home, after she found herself in the bottom two alongside duo Acacia and Aaliyah.
The vote went to deadlock and it was announced that Shan would be going home, but Simon appeared on stage to announce he was changing the rules, meaning she and Bella Penfold – who was eliminated earlier on Sunday’s episode – will perform on the upcoming live tour.
He said: "Sometimes the rules change and I am changing the rules. So there will be eight acts in the tour, not six."
