Slipknot announce UK tour

Slipknot have announced a UK arena tour for next year.

The ‘Wait and Bleed’ hitmakers will be joined by their friends and fellow rockers Korn on the 10 ‘Prepare For Hell’ gigs and are delighted to be returning to Britain and Ireland because they have always been "very special" to them.

Frontman Corey Taylor said: "The UK has always been very special for us. In a lot of ways, it’s where this insanity began. So, for this tour, we decided to try and hit as many places as we could – not only England, but Scotland and Wales as well. Technically Ireland is Europe, but we’re going there too.

"We’re coming back for the people who started this for us: that would be you. Prepare yourselves… Hell is coming."

The tour kicks off at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on 14 January and then calls to Sheffield, Glashow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Nottingham and ends on 27 January at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena.

Tickets for the tour, priced at £39.50 plus booking fees, go on sale on 17 October, but there will be a special fan pre-sale tomorrow (14.10.14). Fans need to register at www.slipknot1.com to gain access.

The tour announcement comes ahead of the release of the band’s new album, ‘5: The Gray Chapter’, which is released on 20 October.
