Amanda Bynes’ parents are thrilled with her progress.
The ‘Easy A’ actress, who was discharged from treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in December after being sectioned for her erratic behaviour, is reportedly "very happy" to have re-established a relationship with her mother, Lynn, and father, Rick Bynes, but is eager to move out of their home in Thousand Oaks, California soon even though she is doing really well.
A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "Amanda is responding very well to the medication she is taking for schizophrenia. Rick and Lynn are absolutely thrilled with the progress she has made in such a short amount of time. She continues to see doctors several times a week."
The 27-year-old star, who previously expressed a desire to start her own clothing line, recently began taking a fashion design course in Orange County and is really enjoying the experience.
The insider said: "It’s only one class, but it’s enough to keep Amanda busy. When not in class or at the doctor, Amanda has been frequenting the gym. Her parent’s have told friends they feel that they have their beloved daughter back for the first time in years."
Although she is getting on well with her family, whom she was previously estranged from, the actress wants to get her own place to live again soon.
But the insider said: "It’s not likely she will be moving out of their house for at least the next several months."
