Sinitta to meet with X Factor bosses

Sinitta is to meet with ‘X Factor’ bosses to discuss her role on the new series.

The flamboyant singer – who has previously acted as show boss Simon Cowell’s right-hand woman – has revealed she will sit down with producers this week regarding her future on the ITV talent competition and hopes to take on a mentoring role.

Appearing on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she said: "I’m having a meeting, actually, to discuss what is going to be happening this year. I don’t know exactly what I’m doing but I’d like to be back in my old role working with the contestants and working with the talent, I loved doing that."

The 45-year-old star also expressed her desire to perform on the ‘X Factor’ live shows as a special guest to promote her comeback song, ‘So Many Men, So Little Time’.

She said: "I could perform it and come through the doors … I would love that because I’m not going to be a judge, let’s face it. That hasn’t happened yet, has it?"

Sinitta, who has been part of Simon’s inner circle for two decades, admits her music mogul pal has yet to listen to her new song and she’s anxious to hear his opinion.

She added: "Simon was sent the single yesterday and I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but I haven’t heard [what he thinks of it]. I have said, ‘Just say what you think!’ But it’s done and it won’t change anything whether he likes it or hates it because the record is made now. But he loved the original, so I’m hoping [he’ll like it]."
