Home and Away star struggles to hide baby bump

Ada Nicodemou has struggled to hide her growing baby bump on ‘Home & Away’.

The Australian soap star – who plays Leah Patterson-Baker – has admitted producers have found it "comical" trying to hide her protruding stomach as she prepares to welcome her second child with husband Chrys Xipolitas.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Last time round when I was pregnant, Leah was working around the diner a lot so I just hid behind the coffee machine and it was just fantastic for me.

"This time round, there is a lot of loose clothing and a lot of handbags to hide my bump. The thing is, I’m so short that people can’t block me or you won’t see me at all.

"It does become quite comical towards the end. People who watch the show know I’m pregnant and they are quire forgiving that it can get difficult to hide."

Although Ada – who has two-year-old son Johnas with Chrys – cannot reveal how Leah will be written out of the soap when she goes on maternity leave, she says her exit will be "dramatic".

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old star is yet to discover her baby’s gender.

She added: "I do have a few names in mind. I don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet but I’m keeping all names to myself."

‘Home & Away’ airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
