Chappell Roan in talks to perform at 2025 BRIT Awards

Chappell Roan is in talks to perform at the 2025 BRIT Awards.

The annual British music awards ceremony will return to London’s The O2 arena on March 1, and the organisers are said to be “pushing the boat out” to land a performance from the viral pop sensation whose album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ climbed to the top of the charts thanks to the hit single ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ in 2024.

An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It has been such an amazing year for female musicians and the BRIT Awards want to celebrate that.

“Chappell became such a key figure in music in 2024 that organisers have been pushing the boat out to secure a performance.

“So far, it is looking good.

“She is known for putting on incredible performances so having a major American star like her on the stage would be a real coup.

“The hope is that contracts can be signed in the next few weeks.”

The 26-year-old singer previously admitted she would love to attend the BRITs as a guest with her mom.

She told The Face: “My mum would love to go to the Grammys or the BRITs.

“I’m kind of hoping I don’t win, because then everyone will get off my a**, ‘See guys, we did it and we didn’t win, bye!’ I won’t have to do this again!”

Chappell – whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz – endured a meteoric rise to fame last year and has been open about feeling “unsafe” in encounters she’s had with some fans and been praised for setting boundaries.

She wrote on Instagram: “I want to love my life, be outside, giggle with my friends, go to the movie theater, feel safe, and do all the things every single person deserves to do.

“Please stop touching me. Please stop being weird to my family and friends. Please stop assuming things about me. There is always more to the story. l am scared and tired.

“And please—don’t call me Kayleigh. I feel more love than I ever have in my life. I feel the most unsafe I have ever felt in my life.

“There is a part of myself that I save just for my project and all of you. There is a part of myself that is just for me, and I don’t want that taken away from me. “

Chappell revealed she was diagnosed with severe depression and forced to cancel concerts to “prioritise” her mental health after being left “overwhelmed”.

She wrote in September: “I apologise to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC and DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform.

“Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it.

“I feel pressures to prioritise a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritise my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox.”
