Paul McCartney is bringing his Got Back tour to South America this October

Sir Paul McCartney is playing five shows in South America this October.

The former Beatle will bring his ‘Got Back’ tour to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, between October 1 and 27.

The on-sale times vary show-to-show with details shared via Macca’s official website (paulmccartney.com/tour).

The tour update read: “Paul will bring his acclaimed ‘Got Back’ tour to South America later this year! Fulfilling his promise to ‘get back’, Paul will return to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru. His first show of 2024 will take place on 1st October in Montevideo.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Hey Jude’ hitmaker recently become the UK’s first billionaire musician.

Macca has seen his wealth double from £50 million to take the top spot once again in this year’s Sunday Times Rich List.

It’s all thanks to his 2023 ‘Got Back’ tour, the increase in value of his back catalogue, the re-release of two Beatles compilation albums, and Beyonce covering ‘Blackbird’ on her new album ‘Cowboy Carter.

He previously took the top spot in 2022, when his fortune was estimated at £865 million, and 2023 when he had £950 million.

Sir Elton John’s ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour helped steer him to second on the musicians list with £470 million, ahead of Rolling Stones rockers Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards with £415 million.

Paul McCartney’s South American ‘Got Back’ tour dates are:

OCTOBER

01 – Estadio Centenario – Montevideo, Uruguay

05 – River Plate Stadium – Bueno Aires, Argentina

11 – Estadio Monumental – Santiago, Chile

23 – Mario Alberto Kempes – Córdoba, Argentina

27 – Estadio Nacional – Lima, Peru
