Gemma Atkinson tested positive for coronavirus in March.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress initially thought she had come down with "a bit of flu" after losing her sense of taste and smell earlier this year, but it was later confirmed she had Covid-19 antibodies.
She said: "I had the antibodies test back in March.
"Six of us went to the theatre on a Sunday, all became ill on the Wednesday and we all got different symptoms.
"The only thing we had in common was we all lost our sense of smell and taste. My stepdad, Peter, was really poorly. He was in bed for two weeks.
"We had the antibodies test then and it came back that we had the antibodies … I don’t know how long you have them for.
"We did it because until we lost our taste and smell, I thought it was just a bit of flu."
Gemma has also revealed her partner Gorka Marquez – with whom she has 14-month-old daughter Mia – has had plenty of tests ahead of the new series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Speaking on Channel 4 show ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’, she added: "They’re doing tests all the time. They’re doing the bubbling and then he gets two weeks off but again he has to isolate.
"Then they’re doing more tests before they go back."
Last month, Gemma – who shot to fame as Lisa Hunter on the Channel 4 soap – admitted she worries about how social media might influence her daughter.
She said: "One of my biggest fears for Mia growing up, especially in the environment we’re all in now, with the Instagrams and the filters and the quick fix, these jabs and pills and stuff. It terrifies me that she’ll come to me and say: ‘Mum, I’ve read that if I do this injection it will make me thin.’ "
