Jorgie Porter believes her ‘Hollyoaks’ comeback story will "connect" to people in real life.
The 32-year-old actress confirmed this week she is returning to the Channel 4 soap to reprise her role as Theresa McQueen for a big plot in time for the show’s 25th anniversary next month, and she has dropped further hints about the hotly-anticipated storyline.
Jorgie said: "She’s bringing back lots of drama, a few more stresses and she’s also bringing the McQueens together with a certain huge storyline.
"It’s really exciting and it can probably connect to some people in real life in some ways."
And the star has reassured fans her loveable character "hasn’t changed very much".
She added to Mirror Online: "She is still the same flirty, lovable, nice and feisty character that she has always been."
Jorgie – who played Theresa from 2008 to 2016 – recently admitted she was "a bit nervous" about returning to the set after four years away, but it soon felt "just like home" again.
She said: "I was excited, but obviously a bit nervous. What if Theresa has gone out of my body and my mind?
"And the anticipation of coming back has taken so long because of lockdown, but coming back felt just like home and as if I haven’t even been away for five minutes.
"Everyone’s still the same and they’re all amazing and inviting.
"I’ve been on set a few times now and I’ve had the best time and Theresa has literally jumped right back into my body and my mind as if she’s never left."
