The Masked Singer series 2 to be filmed in front of studio audience

The Masked Singer’s second series is to be filmed in front of a studio audience.

Filming for the ITV talent show’s new season is to get underway at Bovingdon Studios, near Hemel Hempstead, south east England, next month over the course of eight nights, beginning on September 14th.

The show’s ticket handler SRO Audiences has warned fans they must adhere to coronavirus guidance before attending, and if they break the rules they will be "removed from the filming location or refused entry".

A post on their website offering free audience tickets for ‘The Masked Singer’ reads: "Audience attendance at the filming will be subject to the Government regulations and guidance in effect at the date of recording. This may be subject to change at the last minute.

"If selected to attend, we will send you detailed guidance and protocols devised to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections in audience members and staff. You must adhere to this guidance, or you will be removed from the filming location or refused entry.

"It is important that you understand that we are not able to guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19. Therefore, you should consider both your own medical health (and any specific risks associated with COVID-19) and that of those in your household or others with whom you may come into contact with. By attending the filming, you agree that you understand the risks."

Audience members will have to complete a "self-declaration form", and will have to undergo temperature checks.

The post read: "You agree to complete a self-declaration form containing questions about medical risks and your potential exposure to COVID-19.

"Along with the usual security checks, temperature checks will also be in place.

"Only members of each party that live together or are members of the same social bubble will be permitted to sit together in the studio, and each group will be socially distanced from other groups. On check in, each member of your party will be asked to sign a form declaring that you live with and/or are in a social bubble with others in your group.

"To enable the NHS Test & Trace system to be used, on arrival, each member of your party will also be asked for their phone number. This number will be passed to the NHS Test & Trace team if requested to help them identify people who may have been exposed to the virus."

The web page gives people the chance to apply for tickets and choose their top three preferred dates from September 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 25th or 27th.

‘The Masked Singer’ is hosted by Joel Dommett, and the judging panel is made up of Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross.
