Terri Dwyer is keen to return to ‘Hollyoaks’ again, but wouldn’t go back for "just one episode".
The 47-year-old star portrayed Ruth Osborne on the Channel 4 soap on and off between 1996 and 2008, and the former ’60 Minute Makeover’ presenter would be up for getting her teeth stuck into a new ‘Oaks’ storyline.
She said: "I’ve been back four times since I left and I would consider doing it again.
"But I wouldn’t go back for just one episode. It would have to be something I could get my teeth into, a storyline that I felt strongly about.
"Otherwise, what’s the b***** point? It would very much depend on my availability and what storyline they offered me.
"It also depends on what I have got going on at the time."
Terri shot to fame on the Channel 4 soap and looks back on her time as Ruth with fondness, because she doesn’t think people should "forget where you’ve come from".
She added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "It has allowed me to be in the position I am right now.
"You should never forget where you’ve come from."
Terri recently admitted she feels like she starred on ‘Hollyoaks’ a "lifetime ago".
Speaking alongside Jeremy Edwards – who starred as Kurt Benson in ‘Hollyoaks’ – she told BANG Showbiz: "I feel like we’re different people now, ‘Hollyoaks’ seems a different lifetime ago."
Jeremy, 49, has spent recent months watching lots of old episodes of soaps, and he’s relished the chance to reminisce about his own career.
Reflecting on his TV-watching habits amid the coronavirus lockdown, the actor shared: "I’ve got quite into watching the ‘EastEnders’ old episodes, you know.
"Because I don’t really watch soaps anymore, because I’ve got a kid now and it’s just not part of my life anymore. It may become that later on.
"And I really like going back and watching the old episodes, because you find yourself going ‘Ah, I remember that!’ they even have some of our old episodes on."
In response, Terri said: "I saw that on Twitter, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, they’re still playing those?’
"We looked about 12, by the way! I kept looking round my eyes and saying, ‘Oh my skin looks fabulous!’"
