Dr Alex George ‘trying to process’ the sudden death of his younger brother

Dr Alex George is trying to "process what has happened" following the death of his brother.

Alex revealed on Instagram on Friday (24.07.20) that he had lost his "beautiful little brother to mental health".

He shared a picture of himself and his sibling LlÅ·r and wrote: "I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health. I love you so much LlÅ·r. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor. We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy."

And Alex later posted on his Instagram Stories: "Thank you for all the messages of kindness here and to my phone. I am incredibly grateful of the support and it means so much. I am sorry that I can’t reply yet. I need to try and process what has happened somehow."

Meanwhile, a number of ‘Love Island’ stars reached out to Alex via Instagram.

Messages flooded in on his page, with Dani Dyer writing: "So so sorry alex. sending you so much love xx," and Megan Barton Hanson adding: "Alex I’m so sorry for yours and your families loss. I can’t put into words how heartbreaking this news is. I’m always here if you need me. Sending love."

Maura Higgins posted: "So sorry for your loss. thinking of you and your family," Wes Nelson said: "So sorry to hear this Alex! Stay strong I love you mate!, and Alexandra Cane wrote: "I’m so sorry Alex. My deepest condolences are with you and your family.

Charlie Brake also responded, writing: "So, so sorry mate. Here if you need anything. Devastating," while Josh Denzel said: "Brooo here if you need me and Samira Mighty added: "Stay strong."

Zara McDermott posted a message saying: "I’m so sorry," and Jack Fincham encouraged his friend to call him if he wanted to talk. He wrote: "Love you mate always on the end of the phone."

Eyal Booker said: "I’m so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your family. Love you bro," and Danny Williams posted: "This is heartbreaking. So sorry for your loss mate, if there’s anything I can do fire me a message/call. Thinking of you and your family mate."

A message from the ITV2 account added: "So sorry for your loss, Alex. Sending love to you and your family x."
