Natalie Anderson feels worn out after 5 months juggling homeschooling and work during lockdown

Natalie Anderson feels worn out after juggling homeschooling and work for five months.

The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who played Alicia Metcalfe on the ITV soap – appealed to her Twitter followers to see if anyone else is feeling "completely and utterly knackered" like her, or if she was just being "lazy".

She tweeted: "Is anyone else completely and utterly knackered?!! I can’t decide if I’m right to feel sorry for myself and it’s just the after effects of juggling 5 months of homeschooling & work mixed with the dreary northern weather OR if I’m just a lazy s**!! (sic)"

But several of her former ‘Emmerdale’ co-stars got in touch to say they feel the same after a tough coronavirus lockdown.

Samantha Giles – who played Bernice Blackstock – tweeted: "Yes shattered! Would love a holiday!! Never mind maybe next year…! X (sic)"

And Adele Silva – who portrayed Kelly Windsor on and off from 1993 to 2011 – admitted she feels as though she has "run out of any creativity".

She wrote: "Yes and completely feel like I’ve run out of any creativity which was vastly used up during lockdown! #day3ofsummerhols …. (sic)"

Mathew Bose – who played Paul Lambert on the soap – wrote: "I hear you sista! And I haven’t even been homeschooling…! Only myself!! (sic)"

Natalie starred as Alicia from 2010 to 2015, and the actress recently admitted she took the character "as far as she could go".

She said: "It was a challenge as she is very different from me, but I wanted to be a proper mum to Freddie and I also felt that I had taken the character as far as she could go."

Since leaving the show, Natalie has launched lifestyle brand The Capsule – which includes a fashion and beauty website and blog – and while she is now working "17-hour days", she is able to fit her time around her son.

She added: "I am working 17-hour days but I can fit them in around Freddie which is important to me.

"The website gives me a platform to share therapies, articles and products that help women feel better about themselves and The Capsule live events allow me to bring women together to let them know they are not alone in the fight against anxiety and mental health issues.

"Through a variety of different mediums, our online content, podcast and live events my aim is to empower women and help them feel connected and not isolated and confident in their own skin."
