Shaun Ryder and Bez land TV show

Shaun Ryder and Bez are set to feature in a string of new TV shows together.

The Happy Mondays duo have won over a legion of new fans after their stint on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ and Channel 4 producers are now reportedly looking to sign them up for a host of new features.

A TV insider told The Sun Online: "Shaun and Bez have been a total hit on ‘Gogglebox’. Producers have been featuring them more and more on the programme because the feedback from viewers has been absolutely amazing.

"They’ve got brilliant on-screen chemistry. Older viewers love them because they tell it like it is and they’ve built up a younger legion of followers who hadn’t heard of them until watching them on ‘Gogglebox’."

Shaun and Bez caused quite a stir on the show with their hilarious anecdotes of their time in the rock band.

Ofcom received a number of complaints after the pair discussed their drug habits whilst watching ‘Scarface’ on the show.

Shaun said: "When this film came out the cocaine in the country was absolutely ‘s***’."

Bez added: "If it was me and my first deal went like that, I wouldn’t bother again.

"It goes to show, don’t do business with people you don’t know. This is a classic example of how not to do it."

Shaun replied: "Don’t do business with Colombians you don’t know."

Meanwhile, Shaun previously admitted he’d been approached multiple times to have cameras put in his home.

Asked what anyone spending lockdown with him would be surprised to learn, he said: "Just how f***** boring I am.

"It’s like, we keep getting asked to do these things, ‘At Home With the Ryders’.

"Do you really want to watch another version of ‘Gogglebox’?

"I’m f***** 60 almost, I’m not going out to nightclubs anymore. My going out now is when I go to work."
