Marcus Bentley is desperate to join a Big Brother reboot

Marcus Bentley would love to join a rebooted ‘Big Brother’ series.

The 52-year-old actor – who narrated the iconic reality show during its original run – has joined calls for the programme to be rebooted, admitting he’d "love" to return to his ‘Big Brother’ role.

He shared: "I’d love to, because it’s in my blood.

"I mean, throughout the Channel 4/Channel 5 years I had a very similar set of producers, some of the producers worked right the way through it.

"Everybody was so lovely and of course, there’s always been a buzz about it and it sort of fills my year up."

Marcus narrated every single episode of ‘Big Brother’ between 2000 and 2018.

And he’s now waiting for a phone call to reprise his role on the show.

He told Metro.co.uk: "I miss it dreadfully but I would love to.

"I’m waiting for one day for that phone to ring to tell me, ‘Marcus, would you do it? For real?’ Put that contract right in front of me!"

Marcus made the comments shortly after former ‘Big Brother’ presenter Davina McCall admitted she’d also love to host a rebooted version of the iconic show.

Asked about the potential for a comeback, Davina said: "Oh god, if they asked me to, yes. Yes, of course.

"I would! You know, I’ve had 11 years off. It’s Channel 4, which is kind of the home where I presented it before."

However, she admitted a reboot wouldn’t be straightforward.

Davina said: "The thing is, it’s all about the casting. The other big problem there is, the compliance and everything.

"There are housemates, and there is alcohol consumed, things that happened, that would never be allowed to happen now."
