‘Celebrity Big Brother’ narrator thought the series eight line-up was"crap".

Marcus Bentley narrated the fly on the wall show and its star-studded specials from 2000 to 2018, and he believes after the show moved from Channel 4 to Channel 5 in 2011, the first celebrity version on its new home wasn’t as good as it could’ve been.

Replying to a fan account comparing the "calibre" of celebrity contestants after the show switched channels, Marcus wrote on Twitter: "Yes the first line up on 5 was crap. (sic)"

The 2011 series saw housemates Jedward, Kerry Katona and Amy Childs all make it to the final with former boxer Paddy Doherty taking first place.

The cast also included Lucien Laviscount, Darryn Lyons, Bobby Sabel, Tara Reid, Pamela Bach Hasselhoff, and Sally Bercow.

‘Baywatch’ star Pamela Anderson also made a brief appearance as a houseguest.

But Marcus did admit there were some "amazing" celebrities on later Channel 5 series.

He tweeted: "There were some amazing celebs on in the C5 years. (sic)"

Since sparking their friendship on the series nearly a decade ago, Tara and the singing twins, John and Edward Grimes, have spent lockdown together in Los Angeles, and the ‘American Pie’ actress doesn’t think she could have coped without them.

Tara, 44, shared a picture of herself with Jedward, 27, on Instagram, and wrote: "I’m so happy I’m with my bffs John and Edward @jepicpics thank god they are with me during my quarantine my experience.

"Would not have been the same without them be safe we all care about you. (sic)"

Jedward replied: "Lots of Love 2 You Tara For Always Being the most Reliable and Caring Friend (sic)."

Tara recently opened up about sharing a house with her boyfriend Nathan Montpetit-Howar and Jedward during the pandemic.

She said: "The other guys I’m also quarantining with are my two best friends that I’ve grown up with. Right now, to have them in my life here… they truly have made this experience so much better than it would have been for me."
