Piers Morgan has entered into a war of words with Lydia Bright’s mum after she accused him of being a negative influence.
The 55-year-old broadcaster hit back at Debbie Bright after she blasted him on Twitter for being constantly negative during the coronavirus pandemic.
Debbie, 56, wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "Can’t deal with Piers Morgan anymore.
"Started well asking some important questions now all he wanna do is bring people in, interrupt them and try to embarrass them and be negative.
"He’s lost the plot. Someone from his household give him a big cuddle and tell him to relax. (sic)"
Debbie accused Piers of lowering the mood of the nation by airing his personal views of the pandemic on ‘Good Morning Britain’.
She tweeted: "I said the same yesterday… I truly cannot deal with his negativity every day.
"Life is difficult enough we all need to be uplifted not constantly put into low moods. (sic)"
But Piers – who has been outspoken amid the pandemic – hit back at Debbie, telling her to follow a ‘Love Island’ star instead.
He wrote: "Why do you follow me then? If you want constant uplifting positivity as 60,000 have died from Govt negligence, go follow a Love Islander or something. (sic)"
The TV star – who presents ‘Good Morning Britain’ alongside Susanna Reid – subsequently revealed he’s blocked Debbie on Twitter.
He wrote: "I’ve had to block her now, she was being too negative about me… (sic)"
