Jay Kontzle has been writing a film script amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star is currently stuck at home due to the pandemic – which has caused filming to stop on the ITV soap – but Jay has still been trying to use his free time productively, revealing he’s currently in the process of penning a film script.
Asked what he’s been up to during the lockdown, Jay – who has a daughter called KaiBo and a son called Zian with his wife Mimi – told Inside Soap magazine: "I’ve been home-schooling, producing music and writing films!
"It’s important to keep creative and keep your brain active."
Meanwhile, Jay previously admitted that after losing his mum at the age of four, it’s become "easier" for him to overcome issues in his adult life.
The 29-year-old soap star – who plays Billy Fletcher on the show – thinks that experiencing tragedy at an early age has helped him to keep things in perspective.
The actor – who was raised by his grandparents after his mum passed away – shared: "After my mum died and all the stuff that happened to me when I was young, I see stuff that happens now as not a big thing.
"If I lose a job or someone says something nasty about me, I don’t care because I’ve been through bigger, much worse things. I find it easier to overcome things.
"My mum was the best person in the world, but my grandparents have done a really good job. I really appreciate everything they’ve done for me."
