Joe Tracini issues advice to anyone ‘struggling’ during lockdown

Joe Tracini has advised anyone who is "struggling" with the coronavirus lockdown to wait it out, as he opened up about suffering from suicidal thoughts this week.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor, who suffers from borderline personality disorder (BPD), has been open in the past about suicidal thoughts, and admitted his brain kept telling him to take his own life on Tuesday (07.04.20), but instead of stopping himself "feeling negative", he waited it out.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ‘Good Morning Britain’ about his viral online exercise videos, in which he dons a leotard and makes up dance moves, he said: "On Tuesday my brain kept telling me to kill myself, and I waited, as I always do.
"All I can ever do is wait. There’s only so many things I can change. I can’t change how I feel and pick what I think.
"I can decide what to do with anything I’m given from my brain.
"If I just hang about, however I feel always changes, and I’ve stopped watching the news, there is no news for me.
"Can I go out? No. OK, I will stay here and put a leotard on.
"The one thing that I always do is that if I feel negative I don’t stop myself feeling negative.
"Because that doesn’t go anywhere if I ignore it.
"I don’t tell myself to not be sad because someone has it worse, that’s the same as telling myself to not be happy as somebody has it better."
Asked if he has anything to say to anyone out there "who is struggling", he said: "Wait, that’s all we can do is wait. This will change, but we’re all on pause at the minute.
"There will come a point that there are a lot of people who haven’t been on pause and will need to stop. And then it’s our turn.
"Please hang about. Wait. If you are anything like me and you are thinking about killing yourself – don’t.
"Because the world needs you."
Joe’s latest video also starred his girlfriend Holly, and he revealed he has been in lockdown at her parents’ house after going to stay before the isolation guidelines were announced.
He said: "It’s the first time I’ve properly met her family. I came up and just visited. We filmed the first one for a laugh and then the lockdown happened.
"Holly’s mum Sue told me while I was wearing the leotard.
"I came round to say hello and I’ve not left.
"I’ve been in this house for a massive proportionate amount of time, given the amount of time I’ve known this family."
