Britain’s Got Talent to return on April 11th

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ will return on April 11th.
A tweet on the ITV Press Centre account confirmed fans of the show have just 10 days to wait until panellists Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon are judging talent on our screens again.
The message read: "Confirmed: Britain’s Got Talent returns Saturday 11 April at 8pm on ITV #bgt @antanddec (sic)"
Last week, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – which is co-hosted by Ant and Dec – postponed its live shows in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
A source said at the time: "They have no idea when the live shows will take place as it depends on government guidelines and advice.
"At the moment they would like them to happen in September, but that will entirely depend on how quickly things are back to normal."
And Amanda later admitted it was "for the best".
She said: "We got the call over the weekend and I think it’s for the best.
"I mean, I think that Ant and Dec did an amazing job of ‘Takeaway’ on Saturday but I’m not sure our show, I think our show would suffer quite badly from not having a proper audience.
"So yes we have heard it’s the autumn.
"I would say I would say it might be later than September but it’s quite a competitive time of year as well so.
"I’m hoping we can still strip it, strip means we sort of do it every single day like we used to or we might end up doing it over the weekends, but it’s all still in the running but I definitely think it’s for the best.
"Audition shows are definitely coming and they are better than ever, so I hope everyone loves that and can cheer up by watching that."
ITV representatives previously claimed they were "working with production colleagues" to finalise plans for the next portion of the series.
In a statement, they said: "The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ audition shows are due to be broadcast in the next few weeks as planned.
"We are also working with our production colleagues to see how we can make the ‘BGT’ live shows work in an ever-changing situation and we will update on this in due course."
