Jamie Lomas warns Hollyoaks fans to expect Felix Westwood ‘fireworks’

Jamie Lomas has warned ‘Hollyoaks’ fans there will be plenty of "fireworks" as Warren Fox and Felix Westwood clash over the coming weeks.
The 44-year-old actor’s alter-ego Warren was less than impressed to be reunited with his childhood nemesis Felix – played by ‘Oaks’ newcomer Richard Blackwood – as the character punched his enemy in the face on Monday’s (30.03.20) E4 first-look episode, and Jamie revealed Felix’s introduction will delve deep into Warren’s backstory.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Felix and Warren have a lot of history. The first time he sees him, Warren punches him in the face.
"Warren has talked about in previous episodes how this kid used to burn him, break his bones, beat him up every day, and Warren feels he is the way he is because of the result of that.
"So fireworks are going to fly. There’s so much going on that I can’t say, but we explore so much.
"There’s more to it than him just beating Warren up, there’s a reason why he’s doing it. And we find that out."
While Warren and Felix don’t see eye-to-eye, it’s the complete opposite for Jamie and Richard, who "became mates instantly" on set.
He added: "When I found out Richard was coming onto the show I direct messaged him on Instagram and said, ‘I’ve just been told you’re starting at ‘Hollyoaks’, I just want to welcome you to the family. I can’t wait to work with you, I’m a big fan, bla bla bla.’
"I think he really appreciated that. We became mates instantly.
"We have a really good chemistry on set together, and a laugh more than anything else.
"He’s a funny guy. We laugh and we joke.
"But when it’s time to be serious we do some serious work.
"I think the fans are going to love it."
