Alesha Dixon jokes she and Jordan Banjo are the next Ant and Dec

Alesha Dixon has joked she and Jordan Banjo are the next Ant and Dec.
The 41-year-old singer and television personality serves as a host alongside the Diversity dancer on ‘The Greatest Dancer’ and quipped they could be the new presenting duo like Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Speaking about how her role on the BBC One show compares to that as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, she said: "It’s kind of nice stepping into a different role, it’s more relaxed and you know Jordan and I always muck around and say we’re like the Ant and Dec of the show, where you just get to put a big arm around them, get them comfortable and make them feel supported and encouraged. We’re like the parents."
And the ‘Boy Does Nothing’ singer loves how they all have a dancing background – including the judging panel, made up of Cheryl Tweedy, ‘Glee’s Matthew Morrison, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse and Todrick Hall.
She added: "What I love about the show is the fact that the captions and the hosts are all performers, we’re all dancers. We all have that empathy with everyone on stage."
With the semi-final round the corner now, airing on Saturday night (29.02.20), voting has moved into the hands of the general public.
Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Rochelle Humes on ITV’s This Morning, she shared: "During the live shows, the audience get to vote. So after the performance, you take a look at the screen and there will be a percentage. So you kind of gage where the acts are – whether it’s between 75 per cent or 100 per cent on the night. But it’s the audience at home who are actually voting this time."
