Ant Middleton is reportedly set to put youngsters through their paces for a new Channel 4 show.
The 39-year-old former soldier is said to be working on the programme – which has been given the provisional title ‘Snowflake Mountain’ – as he looks to help teenagers overcome hardships from their past.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "The show is unlikely to feature an actual mountain, but it will see Ant testing younger recruits both mentally and physically.
"It will be more to do with trying to get them into the right mindset than chucking them off a cliff face on an abseil and seeing who survives."
It’s said the latest project from the ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ star could air later this year, although the project is "still in its very early stages".
The source added: "The show is still in its very early stages but everyone seems keen and all being well it will be on screens in the autumn.
"It will feature youngsters who have gone through a difficult period like jail time or a family tragedy."
Meanwhile, Ant recently revealed he has struck up a friendship with ex-One Direction star Liam Payne after the pair spent time together on Sky1’s ‘Straight Talking’ documentary last year.
He said: "I have seen Liam since the show and we talk on the phone. It’s natural. Liam is a very strong young man.
"I get a text every now and again saying, ‘Love you bro’ and I like to let him know I am here. It’s nice, he’s a cool guy. He’s open and honest.
"To take someone out of their mad lifestyle and make them isolated, they are going to open up. It is about taking people to the norm and into reality."
