Caprice Bourret ‘quits Dancing on Ice’

Caprice Bourret has reportedly quit ‘Dancing On Ice’ amid the fallout from her split with ex-skating partner Hamish Gaman.
The 48-year-old star – who recently decided to part ways with Hamish – failed to turn up to rehearsals and has now decided to walk away from the show altogether, one day after her former pro partner broke his silence on their much-discussed split.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "She’s a strong woman, but when her kids are coming home from school upset because other kids are repeating lies about their mum, it’s hard not to let it affect you."
Following her split from Hamish, Caprice joined forces with professional skater Oscar Peter.
However, their partnership has not been well-received by fans of the show, with the duo receiving a frosty reception from the crowd last week.
Meanwhile, Hamish recently admitted he’s been reduced to tears by the controversy surrounding his split from Caprice.
The professional skater – whose exit from the show has not been fully explained – also revealed he’s been "overwhelmed" by the support he’s received from fans.
He wrote on Twitter: "Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages.
"I’ve been overwhelmed by your love and support – it’s brought me to tears at times. Honestly, I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all they can to support me.
"I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end, and I hope we can focus on the skating again now."
