‘Love Island’ newcomer Mike Boateng’s brother Samuel was on ‘The Apprentice’.
The 24-year-old police officer is set to enter the villa on Sunday (12.01.20) for the first-ever winter edition of the ITV2 dating show, but the rising star already has a claim to fame as his older brother appeared on TV screens back in 2016.
Mike revealed: "My brother, Samuel, was on ‘The Apprentice’ a few years ago."
Samuel – who was 27 at the time – took on Sir Alan Sugar’s BBC competition before being fired in week 11.
He dubbed himself as a "perfect guy" with all the best qualities to make him the ideal candidate.
He said at the time: "My creativity, my passion, my charm, and my likeability all roll into one, creating one perfect guy."
Following in his brothers footsteps, Mike also said his charm is what makes him the perfect Islander for the sixth series.
He said: "My charm and my character. I’m a very personable person so I’m easy to approach and I’m hoping that’ll make it easy for me to speak to a girl and connect with her. "
And the smooth talker is determined to meet his match to bring her home to his mum and is not afraid to step "on a few toes" to get the girl he wants.
Speaking about his new year’s resolutions, Mike explained: "To find a serious relationship. My mum will be watching this show with the intention of me finding someone and moving out."
He added: "I’m going in to the villa to find love. If that means stepping on a few toes, burning a few bridges and finding the love of my life, I’m willing to do it."
However, the Londoner is known to have a wandering eye but plans to play the game strategically.
He claimed: "I can have a bit of a wandering eye, but I’m not going to wander for the sake of it. I’ve always had pretty long term relationships."
