Meghan Trainor feels "insecure" working alongside Sir Tom Jones.
The 26-year-old singer stars alongside the music icon on ‘The Voice UK’, and Meghan has admitted to feeling uncertain of herself when she compares her own achievements with those of Tom.
Asked about working with Tom, she told MailOnline: "It’s bizarre.
"I just feel a lot of times I think, I get hard on myself and I get insecure, and I’m like ‘I’m a baby out here and I haven’t accomplished anything they have.’
"But then I had to remind myself why I deserve to be here and that’s something that I would teach my team, I’d be like, ‘OK, you’re gonna come on here, do your thing, and prove to everyone why we turned around for you and why you deserve to stay’.
"So that’s really nice. I feel like I’m learning while they’re learning at the same time, and that’s something I offer in my pitch: ‘We’ll do this together. I’m just as scared as you are.’"
Meghan also insisted she’s looking forward to working with fellow judges Olly Murs and will.i.am.
Asked what she hoped to achieve by joining the judging panel ahead of the new series of ‘The Voice’, she said: "I’m so lame: new friends.
"I look up to everyone on this show, and everyone’s so cool. And when I met them I’m like meeting my heroes and icons, and they were nice.
"When you meet heroes you never know, you never know – and they were all nice and fun and everything I’d ever wished for."
