Lewis Ellis wants both finalists to be hired by Lord Sugar on ‘The Apprentice’.
Lewis was fired from the programme on Wednesday (11.12.19) night’s episode, along with Pamela Laird and Lottie Lion, as the remaining five candidates were subjected to gruelling interviews with business experts.
The final two candidates are Carina Lepore and Scarlett Allen-Horton, and Lewis hopes Lord Sugar invests in both, as he did in 2017 with Sarah Lynn and James White.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Lewis said: "I’m genuinely hoping for a double win, I’m not just saying that to be nice. They are both doing it for the right reasons. They have come from nothing and are doing it for the families."
The 28-year-old also revealed that he was happy with his efforts in the show and accepted Lord Sugar’s decision not to invest in his tour operating business.
Lewis said: "I got to where I wanted to get to, Lord Sugar said he is not interested in that industry and my business plan needs work."
Lewis, who hails from Lancashire, also defended his failure to pinpoint Croatia, where he planned to take his business, on a map when requested by interviewer Mike Soutar. He claimed that holidaymakers are more concerned about the quality of their holiday.
"Someone on Twitter asked me ‘how can you not know where Croatia is a globe?’ But you don’t have to, tourists don’t what to know exactly where they are, they just want to know if you have researched the tours and that the accommodation isn’t c***."
Meanwhile, Pamela suggested that she won’t take being fired by Lord Sugar "personally", despite narrowly missing out on the final.
She said: "I’m not taking it personally that I didn’t make the final, there are two amazing businesswomen there.
"I have to respect Lord Sugar’s decision, he wasn’t feeling my business and it was the right time to go."
The 29-year-old also revealed that she came up with a nickname for the fearsome Linda Plant.
Pamela said: "Linda terrified me. I was calling her ‘Last Word Linda’ because you couldn’t get a word in with her."
Pamela also revealed that she enjoyed working with big personalities, such as Thomas Skinner and Ryan-Mark Parsons, during the process.
She explained: "Any big personality will divide opinion. They took a lot of the air time but they deserve it, the viewers want entertainment too. I enjoyed being around them, they are infectious."
Pamela also revealed that she wants Carina to win the show.
When asked, she said: "It would have to be Carina, she can apply herself to anything. No matter what the task was, she was always heavily involved. Her business would be helped massively by the investment."
