Dolph Lundgren puts game show on hold for Sylvester Stallone drama

Dolph Lundgren has put his game show ‘Take The Tower’ on hold.
The blockbuster star hosted six episodes of the action packed programme on ITV4 last year, but now he’s revealed his focus has switched to upcoming US TV drama ‘The International’ with Sylvester Stallone at the helm.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, he said: "I’m taking a break from game shows for now, as Sylvester and I are working on a new project in America about crime-fighting.
"We had a lot of fun working together in ‘Rocky IV’ and ‘The Expendables’ so we decided to team up. Films like that don’t get made any more.
"It’s either something like ‘The King’s Speech’ for £10 million or ‘The Avengers’ for £200 million. Sylvester and I hope the new TV project works."
‘Take The Tower’ saw four contestants try to reach the top of a tower by taking on challenges, quizzes and puzzles – all drawing on action movies and tropes – before facing the 62-year-old actor himself in the role of the evil gamemaster, "killing off" contestants when they fail.
Sylvester will direct ‘The International’, which will star Dolph as a black ops specialist working for the United Nations.
The leading man previously heaped praise on Sly, and and put him "up there" with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas as one of Hollywood’s great filmmakers.
He said: "You know, because he plays these characters who don’t talk much … people think he’s that way, but he isn’t, he’s a very smart guy. One of the smartest in Hollywood.
"You don’t create three franchises – ‘Rocky’, ‘Rambo’ and ‘The Expendables’ – by being stupid, that’s for sure.
"There’s him and there’s maybe … who else? Maybe Spielberg has done stuff like that … Lucas … He’s up there."
