Lorraine Kelly wants to take on SAS: Who Dares Wins

Lorraine Kelly would "love" to appear on ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The TV presenter has no desire to try her hand at ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or to head to the jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, but she has one big exception to her personal blanket ban on reality TV.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "The only one I’d love to go on is ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’. I think I’d be gritty enough to cope."
The gruelling show sees former solider Ant Middleton put people through their paces with an intense boot camp, testing their physical and mental resolve.
The ‘Lorraine’ host – who turns 60 this month – admitted she has had "struggles just like everyone else", including the time she and her husband Steve Smith tragically suffered a miscarriage in 2001.
She added: "It was very hard. We had very much wanted another baby but it wasn’t to be.
"I wanted to go back to work to get routine back, but I went far too soon."
And Lorraine – who has 25-year-old daughter Rosie with her man – also revealed how she found it difficult to cope when she entered the menopause a few years ago.
She explained: "It started when I was around 54 and got gradually worse until it was unbearable. I just wasn’t enjoying life and was constantly knackered.
"I found it hard to get out of bed. I had to paint on a smile."
She was eventually convinced to speak to TV health expert Dr. Hilary Jones, and the beloved presenter admitted her husband Steve’s support is key to her happiness.
Lorraine recently lived out a childhood dream recently when her programme’s team treated her with the chance to undergo astronaut training from the best at NASA.
She previously said: "When it was all over and I returned to the hotel – obviously still in my flight suit and cool aviator sunglasses – a lovely little old American lady was coming out of the lift and asked me if I was an astronaut.
"It was one of the best moments of my life and was the cherry atop the icing of a fabulous cake and an experience I will never forget.
"And I still want to be an astronaut when I grow up."
