Emily Atack confirms Richard Madeley for I’m A Celebrity Extra Camp

Emily Atack says Richard Madeley will be in the Australian jungle next week.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’ host has fuelled speculation the TV veteran could join the camp for this year’s edition of the reality show, although she later insisted he will simply be joining her – and co-stars Joel Dommett and Adam Thomas – on the spin-off.
Discussing this year’s line-up with Chloe Madeley – whose husband James Haskell is taking part – Emily said: "See you soon! Oh, and tell your dad as well that we’re looking forward to seeing him!"
Viewers thought the former ‘Inbetweeners’ actress – who appeared on last year’s series of the ITV programme – had dropped a big hint about additional campmates joining the fun, but she clarified her comment.
She tweeted: "No he’s a panellist next week"
‘This Morning’ hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield recently led calls for Richard to follow his son-in-law into the jungle.
Phil said: "Do you know who I would like to go in? It’s never released, you just don’t know, but my guess if I was to have my favourite … Richard Madeley."
Holly added: "That would be incredible, and also because [James is] his son-in-law ’cause he’s Chloe’s husband, isn’t he?"
Richard himself has refused to confirm or deny an appearance on the show, although he has ruled out any possibility of a stint on BBC competition ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
He previously said: "I cannot dance. If I thought I was a bit of a mover – if I could actually do it – then I would do ‘Strictly’ because it’s a fantastic show and I can see why people want to do it. But I’d be worse than [former Olympic rower] James Cracknell.
"If James is asking if that could have gone any worse, then yes, it could have been – it could have been me.
"I just cannot move. Some have it dormant and it can be lit, I just do not have any dancing feet."
