Coleen Nolan has signed up for ‘Celebrity Flirty Dancing’.
The ‘Loose Women’ star – who divorced husband Ray Fensome earlier this year – has gone looking for love on the show and though she was "nervous" about taking part, she was happy to get involved because it was all in aid of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer appeal.
She said: "Talking about my love life on TV is second nature to me but ‘Flirty Dancing’ was a whole new ball game. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous.
"But I loved the show and as it’s for such a good cause I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a go."
Coleen lost both her dad Tommy and sister Bernie to cancer, while her other siblings Anne and Linda have also battled the disease, so was "delighted" to do what she could to raise money for the cause.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "It’s no secret cancer has deeply affected our family so I am delighted to do anything I can to help raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.
"The work being done is phenomenal."
‘Made in Chelsea’ star Miles Nazaire has also signed up for the programme, which sees two strangers learn opposing parts of a dance choreographed by host Ashley Banjo, and they then have to perform the romantic routine as a duo.
Ashley has previously praised ‘Flirty Dancing’ for its inclusive nature.
He said: "On ‘Flirty Dancing’ we’ve had same-sex couples and we don’t go, ‘This week, guess what we’re doing? We’re being progressive!’
"So I don’t make a point of saying I’m proud of ‘Flirty Dancing’ because the show is about finding love — gay, straight or whatever. It normalises it in more ways than any other show because what’s at the heart of the show is love."
