EastEnders’ Maisie Smith would love Patsy Palmer to return full-time

Maisie Smith would love to see her "second mum" Patsy Palmer return to ‘EastEnders’ for good.
The 18-year-old star – who plays Tiffany Butcher in the show – was reunited with her on-screen mother in September when Patsy reprised her role as Bianca Jackson for a short stint on the BBC One soap, and Maisie is keen for her to make a permanent return.
She said: "Patsy is like my second mum, she always has been.
"I’d love to have Bianca back. The relationship between her and Tiffany is so great, it was hilarious. They bounced off each other every day and it’d be nice to continue that."
Maisie believes it is "inevitable" that Tiff will end up leading a no-nonsense approach to life like Bianca, and thinks it may have already happened.
She added to RadioTimes.com: "I’m often asked if Tiffany is turning into Bianca, but I think it’s already happened.
"It’s inevitable I suppose, spending so many years with her it would be quite hard not to."
Maisie’s comments come after she recently praised her on-screen auntie Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) for helping her to ensure she hasn’t "struggled with fame" while growing up in the spotlight.
She said: "It’s all I’ve ever known; I’ve been acting since the age of four. When I was working with Charlie Brooks, she said, ‘Whatever happens in your career, stay grounded,’ and that has stayed with me.
"I don’t feel like I’ve struggled at all with fame; I’ve managed to work my life around it."
