Saffron Barker has quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ rehearsals after injuring her back last week.
The 20-year-old YouTube star revealed that she and professional partner AJ Pritchard have had to call a halt to their rehearsals after she hurt herself during last week’s contemporary dance performance.
Saffron share a video to Instagram and said: "I’m actually in so much pain. I really hurt my back on Saturday. We actually can’t get through today. We can’t do it.
"The pain in my back is just keeping me up all night."
AJ added: No, it’s going well. It’s just that we have to do specific points. There’s a lot of cane work in there which is amazing but we are just being sensible."
Saffron and AJ are set to dance a Foxtrot to the Frank Sinatra classic ‘New York, New York’ this Saturday (19.10.19) but the performance could be in doubt due to her injury.
Saffron had previously admitted that rehearsals for her contemporary performance with AJ last week left her covered in bruises.
Speaking on It Takes Two she said: "I am covered in bruises, yes, this is the first time we’ve done lifts together. It is difficult and a lot of pain!"
AJ added: "It is worth it though, I think the beautiful thing about doing a contemporary for Couples’ Choice is it allows us to tell a story."
