Michelle Collins won’t compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because she doesn’t think she’d win.
The 58-year-old actress previously turned down a spot on the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance competition, and is now reluctant to take part because the idea of such a high profile show "frightens" her, and her competitive streak means she hates the thought of potentially being the first star eliminated.
She told OK! magazine: "I was going to do it a few years ago but I had a new agent who told me not to.
"I’m not sure I want to be put in the ‘mature woman’ bracket and the thought of being in everyone’s living rooms frightens me. I like my privacy now.
"I don’t think I’d stand a chance of winning and I’d only to it to win – I’m pretty competitive.
"If I was out on the first week, I would die of embarrassment."
But the former ‘Coronation Street’ actress will be tuning in to the new series to support her former cobbles co-star Catherine Tyldesley.
She added: "I’ll be watching my daughter from ‘Corrie’, Cath Tyldesley, though."
The ex-‘EastEnders’ actress also has no desire to join the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp as she struggled when she previously put her survival skills to the test with adventurer Bear Grylls.
Asked if she’d do ‘I’m A Celebrity…’, she replied: "God no. I did ‘Bear Grylls: Mission Survive’ and it’s probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
"I nearly died every week.
"It was an amazing challenge but I won’t be doing anything like that again."
