Dotty Cotton returning to EastEnders

Dotty Cotton is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The tiny troublemaker left her grandmother, Dot Branning (June Brown)’s home in 2009 when she discovered her mum Sandy was still alive and they set off for a new life in the US before settling in Wales, but now she’s returning to Albert Square this autumn.
The role has been recast, so Molly Conlin has been replaced by ‘All At Sea’ actress Milly Zero.
And the CBBC star couldn’t be happier to have joined the BBC One soap.
She said: "I am honestly so excited to be playing Dotty Cotton and joining the E20 family, especially playing alongside June Brown, who I have been watching on my telly since I was a young girl.
"Her and Dotty have such an interesting relationship to explore with a complicated history, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. It all feels very surreal and I am buzzing already."
Dotty will return to London to start university and ‘EastEnders’ boss Jon Sen has promised the teenager will be back "with a bang".
Milly isn’t the only show newcomer to be in awe of June as Sean Mahon (Ray Kelly) previously admitted he was left "a bit starstruck" when he encountered the soap legend for the first time on set.
He said: "I had a bit of a fan moment the other day. I was sitting in the make-up chair next to June Brown, who plays Dot Branning, and she was one of my favourite characters on the show when I was watching so many years ago.
"So I was a bit star-struck and gobsmacked. I didn’t say a word. I just sat there and darted my eyes over a few times, so it was great."
