Stephanie Waring "feels so much better" after quitting alcohol.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who has daughters Mia, 13, and eight-year-old Lexi – ditched booze three months ago, and while she still heads on nights out with pals, she likes being able to drive home afterwards.
Stephanie – who turned 40 last October – said: "It was a lifestyle choice to quit and I find I feel so much better.
"I still go out with friends and it’s nice to be able to drive home. I’m not in my 20s anymore.
"I look after myself and I’ve always looked young for my age.
"My eldest daughter is 13 and she’s nicking all my clothes and I nick hers too. She’ll say, ‘Nice leggings mum, nice top.’ "
As well as her kids keeping her on her toes, ‘Hollyoaks’ bosses are too, with the star – who has played Cindy Cunningham since 1996 – revealing she has a huge plot coming up later this year.
She added to the Manchester Evening News: "I’ve got a big storyline coming up this year which I’ve just started working on.
"I’m so fortunate that they keep finding new stories with more depth and more to do with Cindy.
"She’s so much fun to play."
Steph has also admitted she doesn’t have any plans to leave the Channel 4 soap, which comes just months after Amanda Clapham and Sophie Porley, who played best friends Holly Cunningham – Steph’s on-screen daughter – and Ellie Nightingale, departed the show late last year.
