Mat Horne gives Gavin and Stacey teaser

Mat Horne has teased fans about an "absolutely beautiful" ‘Gavin and Stacey’ scene in the show’s upcoming return.
The 40-year-old actor is to reprise his role as Gavin Shipman in the popular BBC sitcom, which will return for a one-hour special episode on Christmas Day (25.12.19), and he thinks audiences will love a touching scene between him and Joanna Page (Stacey West).
Mat told BBC Radio 5 Live: "There’s one scene in particular between me and Joanna (Page) which is absolutely beautiful.
"I was talking to Jo yesterday and we can’t wait to get going on it."
The popular show first aired in 2007 and then concluded after three seasons in 2010.
And the ‘Bad Education’ actor also thinks co-writers James Corden (Smithy) and Ruth Jones (Nessa Jenkins) have done a wonderful job of creating a heart-warming special.
He said: "It’s really funny and it’s really heartwarming. I think there’ll be laughter and tears. Ruth and James have done an incredible job particularly considering they live in different countries.
"There’s very, very little I can give away – suffice to say he’s a little bit tired and he’s a dad with an almost grown up child.
"I think the audience will be pleasantly surprised and warmed by what they see … I have every confidence people are going to really like it."
The ‘Catherine Tate Show’ star is "incredibly excited" about the cast reuniting, and his phone has really busy after James confirmed the special on social media.
He said: "My phone was on fire. We are all really surprised and shocked in a good way by the reaction."
